How-To: Install, Configure and Integrate Zoiper with GSMcall PBX

If you are one of those customers who opt for a softphone to use with our telephone services, we recommend using the free version of Zoiper.

You can download the free classic Windows desktop version using this link https://www.zoiper.com/en/voip-softphone/download/classic.
Once the download is done, click on the installer and follow the on screen instructions until the installation is complete. It is a straightforward process in which you don't have to make much choices. Hit "NEXT" until you reach the end.

Before you start the app for your first time, make sure that you got the following data from GSMcall.
  1. Server FQDN (FQDN)
  2. Server Port (PORT)
  3. Extension Number (Extn. #)
  4. Password
They are always given in the following format:  Extn. #@FQDN:PORT

Now you can start using Zoiper.
Note: this version will start and show only in the task bar. Click on its icon to open in from there.

You should see the following screen.

Now, click on the wrench icon (see picture below).

You should then see the below picture.

Once you reach here,

Click on "Add new SIP account" under "Options" which is on the left menu and then you will be asked to give this account a name, example "Office Phone".

Once you click "OK", you should see the below picture.

Start typing the data that GSMcall provided to you on this screen.

Domain is equivalent to FQDN:PORT
Username is equivalent to  Extn. #
Password is equivalent to Password
CallerID name is optional and can be left empty since GSMcall has this setting pre-configured on our PBX system.

Now, click "OKAY" and then click on "APPLY". You should be ready to make and recieve calls at this point. To make sure of that, watch for the word "Registered" showing on Zoiper's Interface (See below picture).

At this point, if you wish to make a test call, type the phone number inside the "Phone to dial" space and then hit enter.

GSMcall wishes you a happy customer experience with our intelligent telephoney systems
